Paint Your RV!

We recently had our 2015 Itasca Navion painted at CDI in Charles City, Iowa, and we could not be happier with the results. Our motorhome originally had a gelcoat finish with decals. Over the years, the gelcoat had become heavily oxidized, and the decals were cracked, faded, and showing their age. Keeping the coach looking presentable had become a constant battle. As we made the 2,000-mile journey from Oregon to Iowa, we repeatedly asked ourselves if we were crazy to drive that far just to have our motorhome painted. The moment we arrived at CDI and met the team, all of our doubts disappeared. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced in what they do. Julie, our primary contact before arriving in Charles City, was wonderful to work with and made the planning process easy and enjoyable. Once we arrived, Luke, Jack, Brenda, Kendle and Kelly made us feel confident that our coach was in good hands. We had already selected a design from CDI’s website, and the team spent as much time as needed helping us choose the perfect colors. The entire process was smooth, organized, and stress-free. What impressed us most was how genuinely caring and accommodating everyone was. They treated us like family and provided great recommendations for local restaurants, campgrounds, hotels, and airport options. The people of northern Iowa were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The finished product exceeded our expectations. Our motorhome looks brand new, and the full-body paint will be far easier to maintain than the original gelcoat and decals. We highly recommend CDI to anyone considering full-body paint for their RV. CDI KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! We couldn’t have asked for a smoother process from start to finish. From initial contact to when we picked up our trailer everyone was great. The crew at CDI Charles City did a fantastic full body repaint on our 2006 Tiffin Allegro Bus. From start to finish, their experience shows they know what they're doing, and the finished results show the craftsmanship they have. My wife & I love the final results, it looks more modern & striking and everyone who sees it comments about what a great job they did. Cudos to the CDI team - a great job well done!

We chose full body paint with CDI because we loved our 8 year old Grand Design Momentum, but the Colorado sun had damaged our stickers and gel coat and we wanted a more modern design without buying a new rig. "Professional" sums it up. CDI has state of the art custom design and painting facilities and experienced staff that worked with us to do everything we wanted just how we wanted it! The base and upgrade prices were reasonable. We spent a few weeks finalizing the design with their team. It helped a lot to pick out the final colors at the facility prior to starting the job, then a month later we came back and were thrilled with our "new RV". If we ever do get a new rig, we'd leave the stickers off and bring it to CDI for a custom paint job from the start.

We just got our RV back from getting a full repaint done. I can’t explain the difference. The team at CDI were helpful from the sales process to the day we picked it up. The team at CDI are a super bunch of people to work with. We had our 2014 Sunstar 26 HE Custom painted and the entire team made it easy from design to the color choices, Jason, Julie and office personnel was great. Ron in the back and the rest of the guys really added super detail to their and explained what we should expect. They also listened to our concerns and made adjustments and in the end the paint job was above out expectations. Working with Josh Faber was a great experience and a fine example of how customer service should be. He bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. It was worth the 2.5 hr drive to have CDI work on our coach. The crew did a fantastic job taking care of our front/rear cap and radius edges as they were faded and peeling. Josh recommended an alternative to repainting with base coat, clear coat. It was painted with custom colered Raptor chip guard/bed liner. It has a light texture but this is a more permanent solution to fading and peeling. The job turned out amazing and the crew had us in and out in 4 hrs! The price was extremely fair as well! I highly recommend CDI!

I can’t say enough about the time and attention they take to go through the motorhome and explain their process, I was at Forest City facility and agreed to take my coach to their facility in Charles City and experienced the same level commitment to customer service there they took time to again go over my coach and discuss things. I can’t say enough about the people and their willingness to explain every detail. Jason, Ron, Brittney, Deb, Brenda, Jack and Luke, and Kelly were warm welcoming and very patient and thorough. I know they are going to do a fantastic job of renewing my 2005 Newmar Essex exterior!!!!

Folks at CDI are wonderful. Starting with Julie as sales / main contact; Jason General Manager - gave us a tour - impressive operations ; office staff; Ron and all the guys in the shop truly care about their product. Special shout to the paint specialist guy (long hair 😊) sorry can’t remember his name - he helped us pick through hundreds of colors - cool fellow with a sharp eye and artist gift. Jason and I tried to help but we got in the way ! 😊😊 Seriously , the overall the process was simple and really affordable considering the amount of work, details and materials used. We chose a custom design- very simple to do. See pictures above of final finish and last picture was the original. I’m a picky guy coming from healthcare to where details truly matter. Our experience at CDI LLC was more than incredible from our first contact to when we picked up our beautiful, newly painted motor coach. CDI was professional along with a personable touch. Upon arrival for our appointment, my husband had a serious health event. Jason and his staff took care of us and were accommodating to our needs. We can't say enough about how caring and flexible they all were. They treated us like family. When we saw the reveal of our motor coach, we were awestruck! It was stunning and looked brand new. In the process of trying to decide to buy a new RV or just keep ours, we saw a few “YouTube” videos from “ Switchitup” on CDI and decided to look into it more. After seeing all the problems with new RV’s we decided to give CDI a call. It turned out to be the best decision we could have made. The process was so much easier than we expected. We gave them a call, choose a design, colors and set an appointment to drop off the RV. They are a great group of people who are there to help in every step of the process. The out come was so much more than we expected and the photos don’t do it justice. It turned out amazing and definitely worth the drive from South Carolina to Iowa!!
